Spanish is a "verb-driven" language, meaning that the correct verb conjugation alone can indicate who is speaking, who is being spoken to, or who is being spoken about, regardless of tense, case, or mood.  Choosing the right pronoun and placing it correctly within a sentence is also crucial. Properly selecting the case, person, or number is vital for conveying meaning accurately.

 

Berlán’s video presentations gradually introduce these elements to encourage participants to instinctively acquire basic language patterns, laying the groundwork for further progress.  Berlán’s basic test evaluates participants' progress by starting with a visual introduction to vocabulary. It assesses their understanding of basic verbs and their ability to acquire fundamental Spanish language patterns.

 

Participants who choose to subscribe to the Basic Supervised Quiz will receive access to an appointment calendar. Through this calendar, participants can schedule a one-hour meeting with a Berlan Counselor by selecting their preferred day and time. During the meeting, the Counselor will review the test material and address any questions regarding the videos included in the Basic Program. Additionally, if participants decide to arrange further language counseling services, the cost of the supervised subscription will be credited back to them.
